Working On: June 2, 2012

I'm so happy that this video I made has finally posted on TIME.com. 

At the end of April, I traveled to Joplin, Missouri to shoot some b-roll of photographer Gillian Laub, who was working on this excellent photo essay on proms in America. We figured I'd probably find another good story to shoot while I was there, and I was lucky enough to fall in with this amazing bunch of people and capture a couple of days in their lives. 

It was a big challenge to shoot, report and edit this solo. My colleagues Jacob Templin, Jim Fields, and Almudena Toral helped me find ways to tell the story to give it the emotional impact it deserved. I hope you like it.
