The TIME 100 Gala was this week, and I can't stop thinking about how amazing that night was - mainly because I got to be in the same vicinity as Secretary Hillary Clinton, have a silly conversation with Stephen Colbert, and later do karaoke with Tilda Swinton. Today TIME released the annual TIME 100 list. On it is Ai-jen Poo, the director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance. I'm a fan of hers, and was thrilled to be able to create a video portrait of her work.

Gillian Laub has a knack for seeing the real story in a trend. When Long Island ladies started going nuts for the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey, she knew she had to capture it. When I came on to the project as video editor, Gillian had shot an exclusive interview with the author, a very exciting book party, and several interviews with women describing just how juicy this book has made their lives. Such a fun project.

TIME just published another Game Changer video that I worked on with Bret Sigler. This video about power posing is a lot of fun because it resonates with everyone. Watch this and tell me you're not standing a little taller.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Just kidding, I don't care about it. Just a quick update about some fun stuff I'm working on. I've been shooting more, which is a welcome change from sitting at my desk editing. Here's a magazine companion piece on mixology that I shot with Almudena Toral (I used a Sony EX1 and she used a Canon 5D) and edited. Yes, we did get to taste the final product:

It was delicious.

I'm also working on a fun piece helmed by Jacob Templin, and for part of it, I shot an interview with Brooklyn band Apollo Run. The bassist snapped this pic of me at work.

Apropos of nothing: I found this great Soul Train video of Al Green singing Love and Happiness.

I love Al Green so much that I have a few friends that send me a message whenever a song of his comes up on the radio or the jukebox. Like a Bat signal.

In December, I visited the University of North Carolina campus to interview Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz for our latest Game Changers video. Everyone was so nice and I learned a lot about the physics of football! Here's the finished piece, shot by Jason Dowdle and edited by Bret Sigler.
